Will my library card expire?

Answer

If you are a Gwinnett county resident with a free library card your account will not expire as long as you use the card at least once a year to check out materials and/or use one of the library computers.

If you do not use the card for a period of 3-4 years your account will go to an inactive status and will eventually drop out of the system.  In this case you will need to register for a new library card.

If you are an out of county resident your card will expire after a year and you will need to pay the $40 fee to renew.

Please call the library at 770-978-5154 with additional questions about your account.

If you registered for a card online (number starts with PACREG) and do not visit the library within 30 days the temporary account will expire but will remain in the system so when you are able to visit we will be able retrieve your information and give you a full access card that will not expire.
