Q. How do I sign up for a library card online?

When you register for a library card online you immediately receive a temporary card number.  This number will allow you to access the library's online databases but does not provide access to the Overdrive digital books collection.
After you have registered online visit any branch location of the Gwinnett County Public Library within the next 30 days to complete your registration and receive your permanent library card.  Make sure to bring something with you that has your name and Gwinnett county address on it like a driver's license, a utility bill or a mortgage or lease statement.

If you do not complete your registration within 30 days your temporary library account will expire and you will no longer have access to databases.
Note: you may access downloadable materials (e-books, audiobooks, video, music) from OverDrive after you visit a branch and complete card registration.
The temporary card number you will receive will look like this:
Click here to link to the online registration page and click on the button that says "Apply for a library card."
