Q. What do I do if an item was damaged or broken when I checked it out? I do not want to be charged

Answer

If you check out an item and you get it home and realize it is broken please call the library at 770-978-5154 and a member of staff can place a note on the item as well as on your account indicating that the item was damaged before it was in your possession.  If possible, when returning the item try to find a staff member to give the item to and let them know that you notified the library about the damaged.  If you are unable to do this, that is okay because whoever checks the item will be able to see that a note has been placed on your account concerning the damaged item.
