Q. Do you have a genealogy section?

Answer

The Gwinnett County Public Library offers many genealogical resources available to our users, including access to the Ancestry Library Edition and Find my Past (within library branches only) as well as HeritageQuest, Fold3 and Gale Genealogy Connection (in-house and remote access) databases. Our print materials related to the topic of genealogy can be found in the non-fiction collection beginning with the call number 929. These materials, with the exception of Reference materials, can be reserved and shipped to any of our 15 branches with your library account and 4-digit PIN. There is not, however, a central Genealogy Room at any of our branches.

For research help and obituary requests, we invite you to speak with staff at your local branch, call the Library at 770-978-5154 during open hours, or send us your questions via AskGCPL.
