Do you require a Gwinnett county public library card to attend events?

Answer

You are not required to have a library card with the Gwinnett County Public Library to attend scheduled events.  Unless otherwise posted, all events are free and are intended to satisfy the interests of all customers.  Some programs may require advance registration so please check the online calendar for registration information - Calendar

If you are Gwinnett county resident you are welcome to obtain a free library card when you visit the library.  Make sure to bring an ID or driver's license with your name and current Gwinnett county address to apply for the library card.  If your driver's license or ID does not have your current address, you can bring current mail such as a utility bill, bank statement, or pay check to show proof of Gwinnett residency.

*For many of the virtual events that require registration you will see an area asking for a library card and pin.  This field is not required and you do not have to enter your information.  Virtual programs are open to everyone, not just Gwinnett county library cardholders.
