Do you accept court ordered community service volunteers?

Answer

The Gwinnett County Public Library does accept applications for individuals who are in need of completing court ordered community service hours.  In order to get the process started you will need to go to the library website and fill out the volunteer application.  In the application you will select the option to fulfill court ordered community service.  If you are selected as a community service volunteer and you are over the age of 18 you will also have to consent to a background check.

Please note that Gwinnett County Public Library is under no obligation to accept court ordered community service workers although all applications are reviewed. Please provide court order documents when you submit your application or have them available if contacted by the branch volunteer coordinator. Court ordered community service applications are incomplete without this information. The library is not permitted to accept applicants with previous convictions for drug offenses or violent crimes.
