I cannot make it to the library due to illness or surgery - can I send someone to pick up my books?

Answer

If you have a long term illness or you have had surgery and you are unable to visit the library you do have the option to authorize someone to pick up books that you have on hold.  You can call the library at 770-978-5154 and a staff member can check your account to see if you have already authorized someone or, if not, they can add a name to the account with your approval.

If you would like for someone to come to the library and pick out books for you that you have not placed on hold, you will need to make sure that they come with your library card number and pin to check out.  Library staff cannot assist someone else with checking out items on your card unless the items were being held for you and the person checking out has been authorized to pick them up.
