Q. Simultaneous Use Resources Temporarily Available via Gwinnett County Public Library

Answer

Vendors and publishers have given customers of Gwinnett County Public Library access to resources that allow simultaneous use of eBooks and other materials on their sites. Students can access simultaneous use titles without waiting and without checkout limits. These are also streaming, not downloadable.

All of these resources are available until June 30, 2020 unless otherwise noted.

Lerner Books On this link, you’ll find a Prek-grade 5 collection of books with accompanying professional audio and a grades 6-12 collection (many of which also have accompanying audio). The grades 6-12 collection includes some titles that are High interest/Low vocabulary. There are filters on the left to determine reading level or interest level and click the red Apply Filter button at the bottom.

Big Timber Media  There are four different collections listed, categorized by grade levels.  The Grades 9-12 collection includes some titles that address LGBTQIA+ topics as well as diversity and differing perspectives. These eBooks do not have accompanying audio.

Sebco Ebooks The username and password are embedded in the link. Use 1 as the student id to access the free books. There is fiction as well as nonfiction for all age levels, many titles published in 2019 and 2020. The young adult collection is comprised mostly of classics but also includes some Britannica titles on math and science.

Junior Library Guild @ Home has different expiration dates on the eBooks and eAudiobooks, so check each one to see when it expires--it may be before June 30. There are three different collections. Elementary Stream, Middle School Stream, and High School Stream. Some are eBooks, and some are eAudiobooks.
