When you place a hold for a book online, how soon can you pick it up?

When you place a request for a book online, if there are copies currently available, it will take about 3-4 days for the item to be transferred from the branch at which it is located to the branch you have selected for pick up. If there are not any copies currently available, it can take longer depending upon when copies are returned and also upon how many other outstanding requests there are. Once an item arrives, you will receive notification that it is ready for pick up and it will be held for you for five days.
