Is it possible to reserve a book that is not yet in your system, such as a title not yet released?

Titles that are not yet in our system are unable to be reserved. If you know the date of release you can start checking our catalog closer to this date. Most new titles are added to the catalog 30 to 60 days prior to publication ("street") date.
You may also find that the titles by popular, best selling authors appear in the catalog up to 6-8 months prior to their release dates. Many of these titles are listed with only one copy which acts mostly as a placeholder. The number of items purchased will be determined by the observed demand leading up to the release date.
If you do not see a title in our catalog and you believe we should have it, you may want to consider making a suggestion for purchase. This process can be used for books published within the past two years.
