Q. If I pay for a damaged book do I get to keep it?
If you have damaged a book and subsequently pay the charge that has been added to your account, you can keep the damaged item. We recommend that when you come in to pay for the item that you visit the branch at which it was originally returned so that staff can retrieve it and give it to you. If you pay the balance at a different location it will be harder to get the item into your hands but staff can transfer the item to another location as needed.
