Can I extend my held item(s)
I won't make it on time to pick-up my held books. Can I get an extension?

To extend a held item(s) you will need to contact us at 770-978-5154, so that we can extend the item for you.
Please note, If there is an active waitlist we can only provide a one-day courtesy extension.
If there are multiple available copies of the item, we can provide more than a one day extension to give you time to pick-up the book, up to a maximum of 3 days.
You can authorize someone on your account to pick-up your holds. To do so you can call us and we can add the authorized person to your account if you can provide your library card number and PIN.
When they come in to pick-up your holds they will just grab your material from the hold shelf and take it to a staff member for checkout. Staff will ask for an ID to verify the name listed on your account.
If you feel comfortable doing so, you can also provide your library card number and PIN to the person picking up for you and they can manually check out at the kiosk without staff assistance.
