Q. Is it possible to reserve a book that is not yet in your system, such as a title not yet released?
Titles that are not yet in our system are unable to be reserved. If you know the date of release you can start checking our catalog closer to this date. Most new titles are added to the catalog 30 to 60 days prior to publication ("street") date. Due to a recent change in the vendor who provides books to the library, you may also find that the titles by popular, best selling authors appear in the catalog up to 6-8 months prior to their release dates. Many of these titles are listed with only one copy which acts mostly as a placeholder. The number of items purchased will be determined by the observed demand leading up to the release date.
If you are interested in making a suggestion for the collection for an item that is not in the catalog but has a recent publication date (within the past year) you can go to the Can't Find It page to make your suggestion(s).
